Becoming a Mentor

If you are interested in becoming a mentor please fill out the mentor information and application and mail or fax them to Children of Promise.  If you have any questions about mentoring please feel free to give us a call or email, we would love to hear from you.

Time Commitment

• Make a one-year commitment…..studies have proven that it is better for a child to never be matched with a mentor than to be matched and have the mentor not fulfill their commitment.
• Meet with mentee one-on-one a minimum of four times per month
• Application and Screening Process
• Mentor Application
• Formal Interview
• Criminal Background Check
• Mentor Training/Orientation 

If you are interested in having a mentor for your child and they have an incarcerated parent please fill out a Mentee Application form and send it to the
Tennis In The ‘Hood Inc.  If your child does not have an incarcerated parent then please visit our Tennis In The ‘Hood Inc., website at www.tennisinthehood.org or give us a call at 770-716-1690 to learn about some of our other programs.
